Ya, just heard from her.

Aparently I thought what Delta's site showed was accurate. Silly me! And...I didn't fully understand "re-routed"...ha ha

Now I have the correct flight up on the web.

Her DELTA Flight 1171 was "supposed to" take off from ATLANTA
and fly Direct to Burbank ...

?? Maybe Delta ran outta gas over Phoenix??

As I type this - America West 480 has NOT taken off from Phoenix.

The AW site says 480 is DUE into Burbank
Gate A5 at 9:08 PM California Time (12:08 AM EASTERN Time).

She's supposed to be on an Airbus A320 plane - with NO food!

Site says they're gonna Fly FAST - New ETA = Early @ 8:59

The site NOW says it Departed at 8:30 - with a
New Arrival Time in Burbank of 9:51 PM (12:51 AM Eastern time).

America West is tellin some Tails on the Flight Log ...

For a while it said 480 had "DEPARTED" - first at 7:38;
then it was "DEPARTED" at 8:30 ... (which would have been a hour ago ...

NOW they say "ESTIMATED" DEPARTURE WAS a HOUR AGO @ 8:30 ...
but that's not confirmed.

Staci is STILL *sittin* in Phoenix!!

Da Plane is **BUSTED**!

Reservation Dude says HIS puter has an "ARC" code showing
for Flight 480 - means "some kinda mechanical problem".

To further confuse things, this week Phoenix is on Pacific Time -
SAME time in Phoenix as in California.

So the "promise" is Staci is "supposed to" be taking off in about
10 minutes - at 9:15 PM Pacific/Phoenix time (12:15 Eastern time).

Actual Flight Time is an Hour and a half to Burbank.

Wonder if they brought in any PeaNutz ta pass out?

Poor Staci! Jeez...You'd think it would only take 5 hours or less to get to California from Ohio in a direct flight. Seems like the poor thing has been travelling ALL DAY. First Georgia??? That's flying in the opposite direction. Poor Staci. Hope she arrives soon safely, and isn't TOO tired!

Both the automated voice response system and the web site
are now reporting Staci's Flight 480
DID take off at 8:55 pm (Pacific/Cali/Phoenix Time) (11:55 Eastern).

Flight Time = 1 hr + 30 minutes ...

Arrival in Burbank is between 9:21 and 9:25 pm California time.

Wonder where her LUGGAGE is???

OMG! I just got your message, Kelly. I'm supposed to be on a conference call with my India team right now, but everyone is running late it seems. *sigh*

Poor Staci! What an ordeal to get out here to CA! I hope she arrives safe and that you're feeling ok, Kelly! No pains allowed!

Cass, I am really so sorry to hear about your wallet and identification being stolen. That is so upsetting for anyone. Thank God your paycheck wasn't in your wallet.

Now, I am hoping that you can talk your b/f into driving down....I know it isn't a short trip, but I know that you have been looking forward to this and having a chance to meet so many Pet Talkers.

Poor Kelly has been calling the house.........I feel so awful because she is exactly a one half hours drive from the airport in Burbank to my house. So if she drove over - she would just have to turn around and drive back in time to meet Staci.

Seems many airlines are having difficulties.

What no one knows is that poor Mruffruff is stuck at Dulles International Airport. I got a phone call from her sister in law and Mruffruff won't be able to get a flight until tomorrow evening.
I have no way to contact her and we were barnstorming on how to contact her and connect her with Laurie's family so at least she would have a place to stay. But it was already past 11 pm on the east coast and a tad late to make those arrangements with anyone. I feel so awful for her - she hasn't traveled in years.

And here is Staci - well, let's just GET HER HERE and safely.
But what an ordeal she has had.

Last I heard, Kelly was buying a really BIG book to keep her busy at the airport while she waited.

And here I was feeling so cocky that so many have arrived already and even a bit early on their flights.

More later............we are having a "girl's" night..............and the laughter level is pretty high
