Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

49 sleeps until I leave for LA.....not 49 sleeps until the BBQ.

...and while you are at it, get that blender warmed up, Chancey.

...and BTW, I hear you are going to bring some melons....

Bought my ticket yesterday. My cuz worked out a roundtrip, non-stop (to LA anyway) ticket - returning from San Diego as requested for a total of $294.10, all taxes duties etc. included. Now that's a deal! Don't forget - all that are flying in - there are free shuttles to most hotels. Check with ground transportation or the hotel of choice. LA traffic can be wicked. Chauncey, at least the Martians are on my side .

Thought I'd post this here since some of you may not have seen it in my Squeaky & Stink Boy thread.

We've got friends who live in some LA suburb that I can't remember the name of right now, but we passed it when we flew into LA and then headed South ( so much for my brain power this morning ). Anyway, she is infamous for her margaritas and has rigged up a 'rita wagon behind her scooter. Maybe we could have her visit the BBQ.

I just wish somebody would decide if he's coming along or not so I can start making travel plans and such.

If "somebody" waits much longer you may not be able to catch the hot deals that are going on right now

I have to tell you that it is a tad difficult to come off of Willie's thread about her horrible fire - and jump on this thread and try to be fun.

Debbie - what a hoot...........of course your friend can come - but she has to bring her wagon with her!!

I am now in full BBQ planning mode. Just so all of you know, Slick, Laurie, Kelly, Karen, Richard and Sara are all jumping in with great ideas and major contributions to the BBQ.

So you have many hosts and hostesses for the day.

And surprises - ahhhh yes, snicker, snicker, there are surprises too!
