    Cats in heat?

Is your cat pregnant? If so, when is she due to have the kittens? If it's time, and she's not showing signs, you may want to give your vet a call. I've heard of cases where the babies didn't come out, and serious problems resulted.

If your cat is not pregnant, I strongly urge you to have her spayed. Not only are there thousands of pets in shelters, being euthanized every day, because there are not enough homes to go around, but it is healthier for your pet.

There are diseases such as pyometra - an infection of the uterus which is most often fatal. Then too, the risks of mammary cancer are higher in unspayed cats. Read more at: http://www.imom.org/spay-neuter/

Yea, my cat had pyometria. I'm just glad she lived through it all.

    Try it out for yourself!
