My big girl turned "1" today!! Time sure does fly, although, we didn't bring her home until she was 3 months old (since we actually still had Dale at the time she was born). Anyway, she has been such an added joy to our family. She helped us to heal while we were dealing with Dale's passing. Having that Swissie smile back in the house, really did help us deal with his passing with more ease. Although, I know he would have LOVED to have known her...they would have had so much fun together. Anyway, she was made for our family. From day one, her personality was just amazing. So easy to train, and potty train. Such a happy doggie all around. We were pretty much decided that we were never going to get another Swissie again, due to the bloat factor, but our breeder offered her to us, saying we needed a puppy back in the house, and so how could we turn him down!! I am so glad we didn't. She is the epitome of the perfect family dog (although the cats would beg to differ).
When we brought her home, she was around 20 lbs. and today she weighs in at 90 lbs. She still has another year and a half to fill out and I am sure will put on more weight. We think she will top off at 110 lbs. Her pink nose is a thing of the past...we loved that pink nose...but today, she is such a pretty young lady...and if i say, "Were is my pretty girl...", she gets up and comes to me from wherever she was in the house.
Anyway, I will post pics of her later on this evening....so be on the look outI am getting Christian ready for bed and then Survivor is on...so later on I will have more time
