My Sister's dog died today. If you didn't read my thread in Dog Health, he had cancer. This morning he was throwing up and this afternoon he went and laid down in the woods. He wouldn't get up so they carried him in the house. He started to poop so they knew it was time. They were driving to the vets when he stopped breathing.
He was an awesome dog. He would sit in the woods and watch for black bears as we picked blueberries. He would sit and watch my sister when she went to her clients houses for her gardening business. He loved going for rides with his brother Sabbie and his little cousin Fenway. He loved going for long walks. He never needed a leash. He walked beside you or about 5 feet from you. He was an awesome dog.
They will have him cremated and bury his ashes in their pet cemetary. They're going to bury him with some deer dung. That was his favorite find when he went in the woods.
RIP Benson. I will miss you. Your family will miss you. And Fenway will miss you. I'll see you on the flip side.
