    Prayers for our new bird :(

    We just got a bird today, he's a rescue from my mom's friend's mother. She's going into assisted living because she has alzheimer's. Well the bird has a wing infection and has been eating only sun flower seed so he's very unhealthy, he'll be at the vet's for a long time but the vet doesn't think he'll live Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers!

    His name is Sparky and he's a 15 year old African Grey.

    Oh, poor Sparky How heartbreaking, for Sparky and his former guardian. I will certianly say a prayer for him. This is too young for an African Grey to be so perilously ill Please, get well Sparky.

    Good news! He's doing great! Also the nurse that's taking care of him wants to adopt him, so we're going to let them! He'll like it better than being in our noisy house. He's still going to be at the vet's for a long time though, I'm not sure when he'll be allowed to go home, but she'll tell us.
