Yup I've heard of most of those before. Some are designer breeds but others are breeds that just haven't been accepted by the UKC or AKC but have been around awhile you know? Kind of like the Cane Corso (though in my understanding it has recently been accepted by the AKC)

The pyrenian mastiff is a more common breed in some sense, its been around since 3000BC in Spain. There's nothing weird about it. Similar story with the Tosa Inu. I don't understand what's weird about these breeds.
The others are mixes or purebreds being line bred for a different look. That's explained in the pages.

Just a random funny story about a Tosa...

I was walking through Petco with two teeny rabbits one day and I came across a lady with a Tosa puppy. (almost 100lbs at the time) He was a bit formidable, but very friendly, until he saw the rabbits...

He took one look at the rabbits, and I started to hear a "click click click" noise...I looked down and he was SHAKING! He peed all over the floor as I was turning to get the big scary rabbits away from him. Poor pup, I felt awful, but looking back it's kinda comical since he probably could have inhaled both rabbits through one nostril.

    Thank you Wolf_Q!
