I was wondering if it's ok to clean my puppy's ears with baby wipes instead of wipes made specifically for dogs? Thanks.![]()
You probably don't want to do that with your little cutie's ears! Most baby wipes have moisturizers in them (not to mention chemicals to prevent diaper rash). When you clean a dog's ears you're trying to get the ears clean AND DRY. Ears that flop over or hang down can quickly become infected if they're too moist inside, which might happen if you use baby wipes.
I'd just stick with a pet store solution for ear cleaning, or make your own with half water, half white vinegar. (I think you could also use hydrogen peroxide??) Use cotton balls to wipe the ears clean.
And here's a big kiss to Sammie for being a good boy while he's getting his ears fussed over! *mmmmWAH!*![]()
