How many dog and/or cat books do you have?

Just wondering how many books on dogs and cats you have. If you have say 10 dog books and 5 cat books then you will add them up. Do you get what i am saying? I have ALOT of books so i'll have to go count them all up.

I voted 0-10 (didn't include how many dog magazines I have when I voted). have 6 books all together:

    3 Toller books
1 with 'all' breeds (it obviously doesn't actually have all of them though...)
1 about dog health & behaviour
1 with a bunch of different stories about dogs

I also have 11 dog magazines:

    5 Dog in Canada annuals
    1 about Dobermans
    1 about Dachshunds
    1 about Dalmatians
    1 about Rottweilers
    1 about Australian Shepherds
1 that featured Tollers in it

I voted 51 or more. I'm at school so I can't count them but I know I have more than 20 dog breed encyclopedias. Add that to maybe 10 training books, a few breed books, some rescue books, nutrition books, a dog astrology book, and that stupid intelligence of dogs book that I truely want to burn. And thats just for the dogs. I also have a cat book or two and other pet books.

I have a couple cat encylopedias and a cat breed book. I also have 4 books from college, I did the Veterinary Assistant program. One is a Veterinarian dictionary, priced at $300, which I got for free. The other two are dog and cat books that focus on health and behaviour. They have taught me so much. I also have an animal anatomy book, it is really interesting.

100? I am collecting illustrated cat children books plus all the many picture books. I'll have to count.........

(Do you know that if there are really many books in a house they begin to mate and have babies? I have a feral book colony at home and just don't know how to TNR them )

I voted 0-10 because I didn't include my shelves full of magazines or my 5 horse books
    no cat books
    2 dog breed books
    2 agility books
I'm about the only one who regularly takes out the animal books at the library so I almost always have a few out. Out library is only a few blocks from home, I walk there.

This is my latest and GREATEST dog book ever. (Photo to follow post )

I'm sure a lot of you know who Dean Koontz is. Well, his dog, Trixie, wrote a Christmas book and he edited it for her. My friend, Karyl, did a book signing with him. And he autographed her book personally for me !!! Trixie has lived with them for 6 years.

Karyl works for CCI, Canine Companions for Independence, a non profited organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs, and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships. She is a writer and photographer. On their web page she took the lab with the pinecone photograph and that was their Christmas card for this year. Many of the stories and photos are by her. Dean Koontz bid something like $55k to name the next CCI dog, at the CCI auction. They named her ''Gerda ''after his wife. Check out their site. maybe one of you will be able to help in some way.

Also, their 2006 calendars are now on sale. $6.25. Great price, great cause. Karyl took a couple of the photos for the calendar, including the centerfold" of Makia.

Oh gosh too many to count, but I'm sure it's over 50. Everything from Breed books to Training to Fiction. If it's dog related I wanna read it.

I just finished "Marley and Me". Story of a out of control, goofy Lab and his family trying to deal with him. I laughed. I cried. I loved it!

Just saw that at Costco today. Now going to look for it at the library on line. Wish it had more pictures though.

I guessed as I am not at home. I would say at this time I have about 25 books. I used to have a lot more but I have donated or gave away some of the older ones & the ones that I have read again & again.
Which reminds me, I should go through them again and get rid of some. I know there is like 5-10 that I don't need/want/use anymore &/or know them by heart.

I have a few books about dog care, The Dog Listener and Dog Training for Dummies (which I haven't read ) My favorite book is a paperback called Miraculous Pet Recoveries, I got it because of Mandy, it is truly inspirational.

Well guess I'll have to buy it too. 189 holds on 50 copies. This is why we have so darn many .
