    Ginger at Sebastian Inlet

Okay, I was going to post these pictures last week, but I didn't get a chance to resize and upload them until we got home. I have been wanting to take Ginger to a beach to see if she liked the surf and sand. Well, I couldn't find a beach that would allow dogs, but she was allowed on the sand at Sebastian Inlet. So here is her first adventure on the sand.
Her first tentative steps into the sand.

I was really disappointed that this did not turn out better. It looks like she is looking at a bunch of trash or seaweed, but that is actually about 100-150 birds there by the water. She didn't try to chase them, she just watched them.

Once we got to the softer sand (not packed by the tide), she rolled in it like she would the snow. Unfortunately she got sand in her eyes and tried to rub it out with her paw . It was quickly remedied and of course she tried to roll in the sand again.

Few more in the next post.

She's such a cutie. It's a shame you couldn't find a dog beach. At least she did get to play, though. I like the one closeup of her.

Very good pic. She looks like she was having fun.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Thank you so much everyone for all of the nice comments. Yes, I think she did enjoy her day.
Terry, maybe next year we can arrange to meet up with you, Daisy and Delilah. I would love to meet those two cutie-pies.
Ginger says thanks for the hug, Rhi, and sends back slurpy kisses.
    Thank you again, everyone.

Joyce these pictures are terrific. For a minute I was thinking Sebastian Inlet was somewhere in NJ and I was going to ask you where it was. It looks like Ginger had lots of fun (except for the sand in her eyes) and she is as gorgeous as ever. Thank you for posting these. I really enjoyed seeing your girl.

What great pics. I have been to Sebastian Inlet and it is beautiful. Ginger looks like she likes the beach and sand. She just has to remember to not rub her paw in her eye with sand in there.
