In Memory of Mickey Roo

In August, 1995, we adpoted a little orange Maine Coon mix from the shelter. Since he was our 7th cat, we named him Mickey, after Mickey Mantle who had just died(and he was #7 on the Yankees). Mickey was a fluffy ball of fun and love. Norton was his best buddy. Mickey was my left side sleeping buddy from the very first day. In mid 1998, two of the other cats started to stalk him, then the awful fighting began. We tried everything from separation, Bach Flower remedies, vet meds...etc... Nothing worked and slowly, Mickey lost his will to live, lost weight, and then stopped eating. On this day in 1998, we put Mickey Roo to sleep. He was only 3.5 years old. Not a day goes by that I do not think of him. And I know Norton misses his little buddy. Sleep softly, my little man...you are not forgotten. Sandra

Mickey Roo has become the Cat of Mickey Mantle,and goes with Mr Mantle to all the Baseball Banquets,and they have a Great Time Together.
And Mickey Ross is touched that you remember him,and will see you at The Old Ball Game,One Fine Day!!!
