The owner of the business I work for, and a very good friend of mine, had to put one of her standard poodles down today. She used to breed and show poodles, and when I met her she had three left that lived with her, the mother and two of her sons. Earlier this year, she had to put down one of the sons, Devon, because he had kidney stones, and was too old (10 years) for surgery. The mother, Maddie, was 14 years old. She was blind, and had hot spots (I suppose thats what they were) all over her. This morning she started sneezing blood, and was brought to the vet-turns out she was internally hemorraging. She opted to put her down this afternoon. I believe she was also either the mother, or out of the same lines as the poodle featured in Edward Scissorhands.
Please keep Maddie in your thoughts, on her trip to the RB. You were very much loved, sweet girl.
