    Daisy comes for a visit..

Daisy, my neighbor's dog, was over today. Usually she tags along when we go for walks or sled runs or truck rides or just about anything, but it's too icy to do anything with the dogs. So today she was just hanging out by my gate looking pathetic. So I let her in for a few hours to play with her buddies.

She adores Heyoka. He's very good with her. He has great play skills and they wrestle for hours despite the size difference. Heyoka can fit Daisy's entire head in his mouth if he wants to!

She also likes Earle, everyone likes Earle. Earle even felt up to a little play session with her today!

"MOM!! She's on my straw!! Make her get out!" There is a limit to Earle's hospitality.

Delta doing his best ticked off face. He really likes Daisy actually, he hates the camera.

"Thanks for letting me in! Can I come back tomorrow?"

She's a sweetie. I like the last picture of her.
    Does she belong to anyone?

Yes, she lives about a mile away from us. I'm not sure how much time she spends there since she's over here alot! I know she goes home to sleep and is there if his kids are home. They are teens and not around much anymore though. She can get here without crossing any roads. She has a trail through the forest! She comes over whenever she hears howling! She hates to miss out on anything fun!

How cute! Isn't it amazing how much emotions they can show us? Daisy looks very happy in that last pic. No wonder with all those gorgeous guy dogs to hang out with.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Daisy is precious. I'm not sure i'd be able to let her go home if she wandered into my yard.

Earle is looking great, what a handsome boy, I'm glad he's feeling better and able to play a bit.
Heyoka looks so big compared to the others... who is the largest out of your dogs, weight wise?

I'm often tempted to keep her! If I ever thought she was in any danger at her home, she'd be staying.

The biggest dogs are Kayleigh and Heyoka. They are about the same weight, right around 120 pounds. (Kayleigh should weigh a little less, but I'm not telling her that!) They are both much taller than the others too. Heyoka looks me in the eye when he jumps up and I'm 5'10!

Glacier, you capture their personalities so well! I love the one of Daisy & Earle walking along, looks like they're catching up on the latest! Daisy's such a cutie! All the huskies look pretty fluffy in their winter coats!
