    Kitten Behavior

I have a 7 month old male sweetie. He's very spoiled and affectionate. He often leaves pile of drool on my shirt or neck once he's done kneading and purring. (Even though this seemed weird to me....I guess it's his thing because he does it everyday since we brought him home!)....One thing I did notice was that he gets....let's say...excited when he does this sometimes. Not with my husband....just with me. And he doesn't hump or anything...he just exposes himself. Does this happen to anyone else's kitten/cat!?? Thanks for any advice! (I forgot to add thaqt he is nuetered!)

lol...It is normal for some cats. Be very glad you had him fixed early in his life. Some cats have more drive than others and he is pobably blessed that way. You are the "queen" of the colony and he is reacting as if you were indeed a cat. Most likely it will never become more overtly sexual than love-bites (gentle nips at fingers and ears) but among the cats I've had over the years and have now, a degree of sensuality happens. I've always considered it showed they were secure and comfortable. (Mine too are all nuetered)

I never heard anyone else tell a story like that. It happened to me once, though, with a neighbor cat who had come inside for a visit - a young male. I am interested to hear that others have seen it happen, too.

Hi and welcome to Pet Talk! It's normal, along with the purring and kneading (sometimes called 'making biscuits'). Your kitten loves you I love it when either of mine knead me (although they are both girls, so they don't get 'excited' in the same way LOL).

What a relief! Thanks so much for your answers! I feel much better knowing that he is normal! I just found it weird - he is soooo affectionate, but it looked like he took it too far sometimes! LOL. He doesn't do love bites yet....but he just drools and drools and loves you so much! I guess I should consider myself lucky!! =)
