Yay! I've finally dusted off my camera...

So look for pictures to be posted on a more regular basis!

I just got all my camera cards together and downloaded literally hundreds of pictures! I haven't taken any pictures since early summer (my bad!)

Here's a turtle that was making its way across the road one day. This is the largest turtle I have EVER seen! (S)he was awesome!

I love living in the country!

An Aligator Snapper! Anna those are some great photos! We had one crossing my parents yard one year. It was HUGE! The size of a truck tire easily. My sister leaned down in front of it and if mom hadn't of grabbed her she would of lost something to those jaws.

My mom got photos of it but they are buried in storage somewhere... ah the days before digital cameras.

Did you see it walk? Aren't they prehistoric looking?

They were actually selling these at the reptile show I attended. I can't imagine having that as a pet.

Just for reference, turtles are mostly aquatic, and tortoises are land-dwelling. I learned that because.. well I got tired of not knowing which was which!! Hehe. But yeah that's a HUGE Alligator Snapping Turtle!! They get huuuge!!

I used to own some Red Eared Sliders but gave them away because they outgrew their tank way too fast and I couldn't keep up with them, and it was unfair of me to keep them in a small tank. I've also owned numerous random tortoises. The one I really want is either a Greek or Russian tortoise. They're soo cute!! ♥

Cool! I didn't know that he was a specific kind of turtle!

No, I didn't get to see him walk, he was staying still in the middle of the road. I was nervous that a car would come and not see him, but I didn't know how to get him to move either. And "prehistoric" is EXACTLY like I described him -- I said he looked just like a mini-dinosaur
