    Talking cats mystery

I just read a fun book about cats that can converse with their owners and help solve mysteries. The one I read was "Cat Fear No Evil" by Shirley Rousseau Murphy. I enjoyed it, even though it was a little far-fetched. Now I'm going to look for more by the same author. Definitely for cat lovers.

Has anyone else read her books?

I've never heard of it, but then again, I'm not really an avid reader.

More importantly, what did you learn?

You are in for a treat as there I think are 7 or * Titles in the Series, starting back in 1998.
I will have to check the Library ,but I am sure that there at least that many.
There was a series by Lydia Abamsom about a Cat Sitter, but there have not been new ones for a while.
They are quite good as well.
There are 10 Titles in the series with Cat Breaking Free, the newest .Now on hold for me.Great News.
New Lilian Jackson Braun out as well Cat Who Dropped A Bomb!!!

Aren't Joe Gray (gray tuxie male) and Dulcie (peach and chocolate tabby) the cutest, furriest detectives ever? Yes, very far-fetched, but fun. In my bookcrossing group, I've started a bookring for "Cat Under Fire", the second in that series.

Much fun, do enjoy. Oh, the same author wrote a fantasy called "Catswold Portal" which has the shape-shifting cats (only a few in the Gray/Dulcie series) fighting an evil witch in the underworld. Again, it's odd, but compelling. It felt like her editors pushed her to publish like a few chapters short of the story being over. You know, leisurely saga winding through many chapters then, BANG, it's done with a lot of threads left loose? Anyway, I read that one first and it explains a lot of the Gray backstory...

    Like I say, enjoy!

I don't like the Adamson books (I was hoping the heroine would be the next to die, always a bad sign), but do love most of the Babson cat books, especially "Murder at the Cat Show". It's wonderful!

I could picture Joe Grey, Dulcie and Kit as if they were in the room. The people were a little harder to "see".

I could imagine Joe Grey being my Mac. Mac is an all-gray mackeral who has the attitude and smarts to match.

I'll definitely look for more of these books at the library.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I've read the talking cat mysteries but I prefer these, the Rita Mae Brown books. She's just wonderful and about every fifty-100 pages, there is a pencil draw picture of the action, what Mrs. Murphy is doing. That artwork is beautiful!

Lobodeb, I don't know what I learned, but I'm sure something stuck. I read for fun and if I learn something, it's an extra.

Hi, Laurie! (Waves back) We don't see much of you!
