    Waddling off into the Sunset!

It had been a long long day. I couldn't wait to sink down into a nice hot bubble bath. The hot water felt so good on my aching bones. So good I fell asleep. I woke freezing in ice cold water just in time to see my slippers being cat-napped. Leonardo had one in his mouth dragging it. He was straddled over it with two feet on each side with the slipper hanging under his tummy tripping him. I saw all this from the rear view. It was so hilarious I had to laugh. He knew the jig was up and tried to run, tripped and fell on his face. He gave up and high tailed it out the door. Everytime I looked at him the rest of the evening, I giggled. He would get what I call his Jack Benny look... the one Jack Benny always got when he said, "Well!" in a disgusted voice. Tonight, I'll pick my slippers up out of range of temptation.

Wouldn't our lives be so empty without the hilarious antics of our babies? I can just picture Leonardo dragging that slipper between his legs!

I keep a notebook in which I jot down reminders of my 3 kitties - idiosyncracies, silly things, personality traits, naughty things, etc. Jazz and Trixie each have 1 page. Bo is on his third! Guess who's the most entertaining feline in our house?!

Hee, hee, hee. I do believe this is going to become a really great thread.
I'm sometimes asked "Why do you spend so much of your time and money talking about kindness to animals when there is so much cruelty to men?" I answer: "I am working at the roots." -George T. Angell, reformer (1823-1909)

I love it!!!! Yes, Harley, you must tell!!!

I don't think Mimi has ever done a Nawtee thing in her almost 13 years of life, other than the typical "cat" stuff.....throwing up in inappropriate places, bringing me one too many dead creatures, etc. But Butter.....now that's a NAWTEE cat!!! So far, I think the absolute worst thing he has done is shred two checks, shortly after he came to live with us. They were both written by my dad, one for Helen, one for me. I had to ask for replacements!!! The other really horrid thing he did was to bring me that half a squirrel.......I'm not over that one yet.

I don't know what is wrong with me tonight. I feel so sorry for the squirrel but the idea of Butter bringing you a squirrel's bum just cracks me up. I think I need a nap!
