How much is a surgery for a Rat?

One of my Rats seems to have a large tumor on her side. It's been about 2 months since she has gotten it, and I haven't noticed any decline in health at all.

I'd like to know how much a surgery like this would cost, just a basic estimate.

Have you tried calling around to vet clinics in your area and asking for quotes? When Charlie needed to be neutered I called around for quotes and they're always happy to give you a rough estimate

We did, but they told me the vet had to look at it.

Well I suggest you call another vet, because they should AT LEAST be able to give you a ballpark figure of how much it will cost!

I would say not less than $100. And even that is really low...if I had to guesstimate, about $300-$500. Just make sure you several opinions from different vets. And different options. Good luck!
