    Pictures of Corsica

I have been on holiday in Corsica in September. It took me time to post some pictures but here they are!
Most places are in the northern part of the Island, around Calvi, one of the main towns.

    L'Ile Rousse:

A chapel on the top of the same hill:

    More coming...

Another village perched on a hill:

A street in this very typical village, built in the stone of the mountain:

    Panorama taken from the village:

    A funny rock:

And for the last, on the left of the picture, the beach where I spent some time enjoying the sun and transparent blue water:

    Hope you enjoyed!

No, Napoléon was born in Ajaccio, in the South of the Island.

But Calvi is thought to be the town where Christopher Columbus (sorry for the English orthograph, I am not sure of it) was born, although highly controversial, because several cities in Italy and Spain also claim for it!

Some beautiful and fascinating pictures. Thank you for sharing them. Yet another reason why I love Pet Talk, I get to see places and learn about things I never would have heard of before. Thanks again Sonia.

Yes, Corsica is absolutely beautiful! For those of you who were interested in going there, do not hesitate, it is worthwile!

We will, for sure, go again! We are lucky enough for having a collegue who owns a little flat there (for tourists). And the condition for renting the appartment is to be a cat lover and to feed the many wild cats that live around , which we did, of course (I still have to post some pics of the Corsican cats...)! The only one who did not enjoy having so many fur-neighbours meowing in the morning was ...Peppito!
