Homecoming question and a dress picture...

Well my baby is growing up, she is going to her first homecoming tonight. Here is a picture of her dress. Now for a few questions...do girls still give the boy a boutinnaire(sp) I ordered one but hope she is not the only girl giving one. Another question, she has long straight dark brown hair, should she curl it or wear it pulled back kind of to the side in a long dressy ponytail? Its hard to explain but I think with the dress it looks better pulled back. She has some acne on her back so we don't want it up all the way.

I will show a picture of her in the dress after the dance, right now she has wet hair and no makeup.

that dress is really pretty! It would be easier to redcommend how she should wear her hair if you posted a picture of her. But i do like half up,then the bottom curled.or a ponytail

I'd go with a half-ponytail, then the ends all curled. Half-ponytail being all the hair from in front of her ears in one high ponytail, maybe then tied with a with a matching dark blue ribbon, then with the ends of all her hair curled, it will create sort of layers of curls cascading down her back (conveniently covering any acne that shows up as well). Pretty dress, and you know there will be a demand for pictures!

    Beautiful dress!!

You should spiral curl her hair, then put it all in a low ponytail, and then take a piece of hair by her ONE ear and pull it out, and make sure that is curly, then if she DOESNT want ot do that, and if she doesnt have bangs, pull out a piece or two by her face. good luck!

I don't know what to say for the hair. I personally would prefer a nice classy ponytail for me.
As for the boutonniere I say if it's a dance where the guy will be wearing a suit than yes a boutineere is a good idea. If it's a little more casual and they aren't wearing suits then I'd say probably a boutineere is too much.

I hope she has a great time, I'm sure she will.

This one is my favorite. Not too prim and neat, and make it a low slung pony at the back.

That dress is BEAUTIFUL....I am a huge fan of dark (navy-ish) blue- that's what color my homecoming dress was for this year. I think she should get her hair curled and put it up- leave some of it down though, do not put all of it up. This is how my hair normally looks (a little longer now than in pic):

This is how my hair looked for homecoming:

I have NEVER had my hair curled before...I absolutely loved it!! I wish it still looked like that, lol.

Well she went with a low pony tail with spiral curls and she had it pulled to the side for the pictures but in the back most of the time. It looked really pretty, she has the memory card so I will post pictures later.

There were 7 couples and it seemed like most of the guys got boutanairres but her date seemed like he was sort of uncomfortable with it...maybe because I pinned it on him and it kept poking him

Desert Arabian...you are very pretty and that was a beautiful dress and hairstyle.

I echo that! She is absolutely gorgeous!!

I hope you don't mind but I've lightened the picture - not that well because my software isn't very good. But I think it does better show just how great she looks.
