I took a look at this site and I think it is helpful- I have given my dogs bendryl, for example and also pepto-bismol, but it was also at after the advice of a vet. Hmm... for me I like to call the vet unless the condition isn't serious (upset stomach or something) and I know how to treat it. Better safe than sorry I guess.
Good site, except for the hydrogen peroxide, never give that to a dog unless you know the chemicals won't react badly with what the dog swallowed. Personally I hate home remedies. I give advice on an online question board and people are constantly asking for home remedies for ailments when the pets should have been taken to the vets at the first sign. These pets sometimes have to suffer overnight because the owner's wanted to ask for a home remedy before trying a vet. I don't think that people who rely that much on home remedies should ever own pets.
