Thanks for the link, I bookmarked it. Hope I won't ever have to use it though.

Thanks Jan, I need to find out if a Rubber Tree plant is toxic. I have a big one on my deck I want to bring inside for the winter but I want to find out first. I don't see it on this list. Does anyone know?

Lori, I also have a huge rubber tree, along with other huge plants that I need to drag in for the Winter...so the cats can once again trash them. Unsure what the other name is for rubber trees though...anyone?

So you have brought yours in with the cats in the past? Beside trashing the plant no one got sick? I thought I read once that rubber tree plants weren't toxic to cats but I want to make sure.

I have another tropical plant I got this summer I want to bring in but I don't even know what it's called. It kind of looks like a palm but not exactly. Guess I should take a picture and see if anyone can identify it.

The plants take quite a beating from the monkeys when they come in for the Winter time. I stock up on "Bitter Apple' spray and spritz down plants that the cats are fond of chewing. I know philodendrons are toxic, and I have a huge "Fiddle leaf philodendron" that is like a toy for the cats. Never seen them chew on it, but don't want to risk it either! My most abused plant is my ficus tree. The truck becomes a scratching post all winter, and protecting it from multiple claws is near impossible.
