GUESS WHAT? Daylight Savings time starts this coming Sunday for most of us in the United States. So we all lose another hour of sleep. My cats don't go on Daylight Savings time. Their tummy clocks demand food no matter what time the clock thinks it is.

you loose an hour.........spring forward, fall back.

I know my cats are spoiled.......oh well.
However, they don't get canned food anymore. My vet said that the dry is actually better anyway.
It took a little time, but they are okay with it now. They DO however get *treats* and ocasionally TUNA.

Cats are more intelligent than we give them credit for, because they learn very quickly our very habits. Normally, I am up at 2:30 or 3:30 AM (PST). 4 AM is late for me. . (Of course I bed early.) But my furkids are naturally active about midnight and again at about 6 AM -that is, even when they are not hungry. The only one that I am, concerned with is Tiger because she is not able to eat dry food, and apparently, she has a small stomach, because she eats often and a little at a time. But I have found that feeding the others with canned food mixed with dry before I bed out for the night, will last them most of the night without their crying for food. However, when they are hungry for canned food mix they will begin to make noise and make a rucous during the middle of the night. When I awake from such an episode, the house is in a mess.

My cat refuses to eat dry cat food. She is so picky and will only have her precious canned food. She doesn't wake us up for food, because she knows better. Of course, when we have her in our room, she meows any time during the night just to be let out. Now that is a pain!
I love my pets-especially my cat.

    Meowing

My oldest male cat, he is 2 yrs 7mos and is neutered and very vocal. Every morning he wakes us up at 4:00am or 4:30am with his meowing. We don't really know what he wants becuase he has food in his dish so I guess he wants humane to keep him company.
