    My beardie boys. :)

I know I haven't been around for awhile but I thought I would share a few pics of my beardie boys. My roomate took back his bearded dragon, poor thing. God I feel sorry for it! Anyways Spike is growing. For awhile there he was losing weight so we took him to the vet and he had WORMS! he's since been treated and starting to look normal again.

I got a new beardie that I have named Kikujuro. He's a little puffer but super tame! I like taking him out so he can run around the room. He's surprisingly fast for a big lizard. He's about a foot and a half long and will continue growing as he's only just reached a year. I am working on getting him to gain weight, as supposedly he doesn't care too much for veggies. He loves turning his beard black on me, silly boy. He does take his pellets good though, so that's a plus. He was on sand so I took him off of that and put him on walnut shell. I think it looks prettier, it's easier to clean and doesn't reak to high heaven like the sand does!

OK, time for pictures. I took these about two weeks ago so no updated ones yet until I get more batteries, which will be later on today.

Kikujuro in the back and Spike in the front. I don't know why they insist on flattening themselves when I take a photo. I don't know if you can see in the photo but Spike is getting some really nice color. By his eyes, and along his back he is getting some nice dark orange coloring.

Here is Spike taking a waxworm from me. I've been handfeeding him treats every few days to keep him tame aside from regular handling. Only drawback is whenever you take him out he thinks he's getting a treat. I went to give him a kiss the other day and he bit my lip, LOL. It didn't hurt but it sure shocked me, LOL.

    The newbie

And his tank. I swear his tank hadn't been cleaned in ages because it stunk so bad I almost threw up.

    His nice clean cage.

    *Edit*

    I forgot my favorite pic!!!

    Beardie love.

I got him from a guy that works at Petsmart. He needed to sell him so he could pay for one of his bills, so I bought him. I suck.

That is awesome! I am glad that Spike is doing well!

Why did your friend give you Kikujuro? Could she not take care of him? Anyways, I am glad she did so you can share him with us
