I think that goes for all dogs, not just chihuahuas. You shouldn't really leave them for more than 4 hours at a time, not fair to them.

I have to work, so Chica is in the house during the time I am gone, When I get home, all my time is spent with her, and all week-end to!!! She is allright while I am at work. But I take her places with me all the time when I am off work. She is completely spoiled by me.
