    Thursday 122

<grunt, push, shove, grunt> Gee, this door must be all swelled from all the humidity because it's sure hard to open today.....whoops, ouch!....darn thing, I hate it when it sticks like crazy then all of a sudden lets go. Look, I stubbed my toe. What is this? Why is the door all red and....eewww...sticky....? Oh Mario, have you been getting crazy with your cherry juize again? I suppose I should be happy it was cherry juize and not clam juize....

'Morning everybody! Couldn't wait for the bar to open today because I've got software people coming in this afternoon, so I just barged right in.

I was cleaning out one of my "junk" drawers (notice I said "one" of my junk drawers which, yes, means I have more than one. ) and I came across a drink recipe that I was evidently enamored with at one time. It's called:

    Pink Lemonade
    1 1/2 shots vodka
    Lemonade
    Cranberry Juice
    Sour
    Seltzer

I found it interesting that I only had an quantity amount on the vodka.

So, I'm going to start my day with the prerequisite Coke (out of one of Slick's McD's cups) and will move onto the Pink Lemonade right before the software people show up.

Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Good morning everyone! Thanks for opening the bar Debbie. You know, I was just laying in bed thinking about it. I'll certainly try that DOTD and drink a toast to Gini....may she have a safe flight and a wonderful time with her nieces. God, please keep that plane out of the Katrina's path.

I'll help you clean up all this cherry jooze. When will Mario ever learn?

Junk drawer??? Well, I have a junk bin. You see, I don't have any desks in the spare bedroom so I have a plastic bin on the floor. I'll never let Mario sift through the contents...don't know what he will come up with.

I'd also like us to take a moment and think about those affected by Katrina's wrath. May God watch over them and help them through these next few months as they try to recover from this disaster.

Put all drinks on my tab today in honor of my Leonardo's 15th birthday!

He would like a big catnip tea and of course, so would the other 3. I'll just start with a big cherry vanilla coke.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEONARDO, MY SWEET BOY!

Now that he is thoroughly embarrassed: I'd like to offer prayers for sweet Sasha and hope she made it to the RB safely. She probably was met by one black bunny who's birthday is today too.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIZ SOPHIE!
We lit your candle and sang Happy Birthday to you this morning! I know your mommy Zippy sure misses you a lot honey. We all do!

Finally, prayers for all who are so horribly effected by hurricane Katrina! May your road back be swift and blessed!
No matter what anyone does, someone some where will be offended some how!!!!

Got into work this morning to hear that my good friend here lost a furbaby yesterday. Little Pashie was 17 and kidney failure finally took it's toll. Out of 5 furbabies, she only has one left....a little black beauty named Jaz. RIP Pashie. All your siblings and Sasha will be there to greet you on your arrival.

Happy Purrrfffday Leonardo! Do you know how lucky you are to have such a loving Meowmie?? May your special day be filled with kitty dreams come true.

Miz Sophie's birthday too??? Hippy Happy Hoppy Birthday Sophie. Yes, you are loved and missed very much.

Put your money away MOFF...it's no good in here... I hear all the drinks are free this week.....just haven't gotten around to telling Richard yet!

Got a busy morning so I'll check in later today. Just going to grab a DOTD to go.

I am so sad to learn about Sasha. I wasn't keeping up with everything and just now learned about her. I think I'll just have some tea today and sit by the fire. Slick, sorry to hear about Paschie, too. At least they had a long life. I'm sure they were loved.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Hehe, Debbie, this one made me giggle as the other day my mother wrote on the lemonade containers at work (after she had finished making the fresh squeezed juice) - "Diet Juize" & "Reg. Juize"

I've only been watching the news here and there as it's far too depressing and the fact that people are looting already. How can people be so rude, heartless, and oblivious?

I'll have one of those DOTD's minus the Vodka. It's been a rough week so far and today's my day off, nothing better than sitting around the house with the pups!

Sorry to hear of Sasha and Pashie.
Today is Miz Sophie's birthday?? I know whenever I see parsley I think of that sweetie.

Good afternoon, everyone! Just got off work and I'm relaxing a little. I'll take a DOTD and three catnip teas. DDM has a good idea. I'll join her and offer some silent prayers for the victims of Katrina.

Lunchtime here and all is quiet. I see that Debbie is tied up with those software guys so I'll do my best to fill in.

    MOFF: 4 CNT's and a CVC. Enjoy!
KayAnn: A "virgin" DOTD. DONE! Have you been carded??
David: Sit down and rest that weary body. 3 CNT's and a DOTD coming up. DONE!
    Val: Drink order???

I'm feeling quiet placid today so am just going to grab a BM and sit by the fire for a bit before I get back to my busy day.

And just like that, The Fyrewolf appears.....

Howdy everyone! Sitting at work, wasting another day since the boss isn't here . That DOTD sounds quite nice, I think I'll have a double. I'm all exited about the trip to S.F. this weekend! I'm glad I get to finally meet some PT people!

Every one of Katrinas victims are in my prayers...the distruction is terrible now and the aftermath is going to be just as bad, if not worse

Prayers also for anyone whos had a fur/fin/scaly kid reciently pass to the RB.

    Hey DAVID, how's Marigold doing?

No hissing or spitting? Are your other girls handling it well? My two are handling my new brat quite well, dispite the fact that he is a bouncy kitten! Spook is getting a little angry at him for messing with her tail, but I figure she deserves payback for harassing poor Remus when she first arrived!

Keep me posted and you DO have to post a picture of her too...

Hmm, it seems as if we've hijacked the bar. Do you dance, David? I've got some quarters for the Jukebox!

If you can call it dancing then I do! Stick those quarters in! DJF, sometimes when I'm on PT, I listen to Credence Clearwater Revival.

Hey everybody! Software people left at 4:50 pm, after getting here at 1:00 pm. My head is literally spinning from everything! Why oh why do they make it all so complicated when it should be so simple? There are some really cool things that it does though, so I know I will love it - once I learn it - it's just that I have to learn it in 2 days!

So, to stop my head from spinning, I think I'll have one or two or five DOTDs. Thanks for filling in Slick.

Wish I could somehow run a power cord from our motorhome all the way down to Louisiana & Mississippi. We've got a 10k generator and I'm sure we'd be able to produce enough power to do somebody some good.....
