Lump ectomy and dental today for Sasha (bordercollie x)

Sasha has a lump on her left knee that the vet says has to come off and she needs her teeth cleaned. We're off to handle this in 2 hours. I'm nervous as she's 11 but I trust our vet.

Sasha is home now, very tired. Instead of barking all she does is whine. I hope she's not in pain. Her teeth look beautiful and the nasty lump is gone and off to the lab for a look see. Hopefully she will be her old self tomorrow and will show off her nice clean pearly whites.

All the best to Sasha. Hope she feels much better tomorrow.
Do you have to wait long for results on tests after surgery? I
also hope thay sent home some pain pills if she needs them.

I'm not sure how long it will take to get the results back, hopefully not more than a week. They didn't send home any pain pills, but she's fine today. I think her teeth were a little sore after the cleaning yesterday, but this morning she was very happy to have her cookie after her morning trip outside.

Sorry I missed this. Poor Shasha. I am glad to hear that she is feeling better today, and that she was looking for her cookie. Gosh she had such a pretty smile before, I bet now that her teeth have been cleaned it is stunning. I hope everything turns out alright with the test.

    Test results are in...

    And the winner is Sasha!!!

The lump on her knee was a tumor of the sweat gland, benign, clean edges. Which means she is fine and it should be long gone. She's unhappy these days being a cone head dog, I did trim the cone so it's not so big, but she won't leave the stitches alone. I think they are drying up and getting itchy. Poor baby, only a few more days to go, it was a week ago today.

    Glad the lump is benign.
You need to take a picture of her with the cone on.

good girl Sasha! I hope her recovery is very quick and painless.

She's absolutely gorgeous!! She doesn't look 11 at ALL. More like 4 or 5! BC's age really nicely, dont they?
