Oh you've got to be kidding!
Hubby came home from a meeting the other day - he's a middle school teacher - and he said the principal had the brilliant idea that they should write kids up for EVERYTHING. gum chewing, holding hands in the hallway, cursing. Today was the first day of school. Already they sent a dozen kids to the office just today for cursing. Already the principal decided it was too much work to give them detenitons for something "so minor" (imagine being innundated the first day of school with teachers each sending two or three kids down a class period... there's over 1,200 students in the school!) Of course the teachers knew the principal wasn't going to stick with his plan of giving detenitons for every minor offense
