GRANT!! Yes, I have added a new furkid to the family. The original thread about his story is here. I have been meaning to make his intro thread for a few days but work had me held up and my camera batteries needed to charge. Well without further ado, let me introduce Grant. He's a blue merle ACD and he's 1 1/2. Ok on with the pics.....

Hello Ladies

Givin' me some lovin' (Please pay no attention to me, I worked last night, 13 hours, so I look less than beautiful and this is the first time my pic has been on here, really I don't look that bad when I am not tired and cleaned up

)

Another view of the handsome guy, look at that tongue. It gives lots of kisses and big slurpy ones too

Playing with the girls. He and Sadie chase each other around while Maggie is the ref and barks as they go by. I think she knows better than to get in the mess as he will run her over. He tries to herd her in the yard.

"Oooooo, aaaahhhhhh" Mom scratches my belly so good.

"See my pretty teeth PetTalk and my tongue that loves to give kisses" (He's got beautiful teeth, nice and white. He's also got a beautiful bite, no over or under bite here.) He gnaws on me to play but we are trying to break that habit as he's got some big teeth and a big mouth so he doesn't need to be biting or gnawing on anyone.

Playing with some toys. Yep, that's a snake. It's about 3 feet long and it rattles and hisses.

Grant greeting his friend, Eddie. I believe Eddie is a Jack Russell. See his hair standing up, LOL. He always does that when we go by, even with Sadie and Maggie. He's not mean, just trying to be tough.

Some of the neighborhood pups. The Rotties hardly barked but the little Jack carried on.

Ok everyone thanks for meeting Grant. He's going to be a wonderful addition to the family.

But....I can't let you all go without posting some of my princess girls.

My most beautiful, gentle and loving Sadie Anne. She will always be my baby. She was my first dog and she is my heart. I love the rest of them just as much, but she is special.

And my Maggie May, the world's fiercest squirrel hunter.

At least she thinks she is and that's all that matters.

She is much more loving than when we first got her, she loves for me to carry her around and cuddle her.

My girls together. I will try and get all 3 together but that is proving to be quite the challenge. Ok people, that does it. Hope you all enjoyed seeing my babies.

Amber, Grant is just wonderful! What a handsome baby boy. Like I told you on AIM he looks sooooo puppyish! Him and Ki would love eachother. We really need to get them together. They could help eachother get over their fears.

I hope everything runs smoothly with him and the girl, which by the way are as precious as ever.

Sadie is such a sweetheart and Maggie sounds like such a personaility.

Welcome to Pet Talk, Grant! He is such a handsome boy!! He has pretty eyes too, love his coloring. I'm glad he's been fitting in well with your family. Thanks for the photos, it's great to see Sadie and Maggie again too, what cuties. I didn't realize Sadie was that much bigger than Maggie!

Grant and I thank you Amy. LOL...Sadie weighs 3 times as much as Maggie. So Grant and Maggie....you can imagine what they look like next to each other.

Welcome to PT Grant!! I loved the pictures, he is sooo handsome! The girlies are just as gorgeous as ever! I'm so glad everything is working out now, he looks like a big goofy guy!

hrm... I also see him with that ball. I think we have a future Flyball/Agility dog!!!

... oh and, for the chewing, bitter apple or tabasco sauce and screeching when the behavior starts should help fix that. Teach him bite inhibition by holding treats between your fingers with only a little bit of the treat sticking out... he can gently lick or chew on only the treat, if he nips your fingers you screech and the treat goes away and doesn't come back for a few minutes. That helped Gonzo a LOT! Herding pups are generally super-sensitive and just want to make you happy

also, once he gets good at that, playing tug with ropes and plushies and every once in a while sliding your hand near his mouth will help with bite inhibition. you probably already know this.... just tips ^.^. I'm really happy with all that you've done for this boy! oh yeah...

oh Wow. I am glad I didn't miss this thread. Welcome to PT Grant! You are such a cutie. You look so happy and so relaxed in your new home already. Sadie and Maggie always take beautiful photos. Congrats on your new addition to your family too.
