    Puddy is going great!

Dr. Lee was very pleased! He took one look at her as soon as he walked into the room and smiled a big smile and said "Pud!" He gave her a sniff and said that she doesn't have that smell that cats get when they're in renal failure, which means the SQ fluids are keeping her hydrated. She even gained 1/2 lb., so now she's up to a whopping 6 lbs! I won't know the results of the blood work til tomorrow for which, btw, she didn't let out a peep! And Dr. Lee and the vet tech both came back w/all 10 digits. He said that he doubts that her levels have come down but that he's almost certain that they won't have risen. If she stays stabilized, soon we can do the SQ fluids twice a week instead of every other day.

Pud was really anxious both going and coming home. She remembers, I'm sure, that every time she gets into that thing, it's at least a 3 day stay, if not longer. But I brought her home and she's snoozin' in the sun.

    Life is good.

    Blessings,
    M

    P.S.

Dr. Lee said "Puddy, I knew you were tough. I guess I just didn't realize how tough." That's a man for ya. Always underestimating us females. (Sorry, guys.)

    Blessings,
    M

Oh Mary, I'm thrilled and doing the happy dance for you. Hugs to you and please give Puddy a kiss from me.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
