Spoke to Val (Dukedogsmom) today 8/5

What a nice surprise I got today! Val called and sounded really good! Of course she's still awfully sore and has a hard time sitting so she'll probably be of the computer for a while, but said she may give it a try this weekend. Her babies are by her side taking good care of her! Val said she feels emotionally better now too. All the nasty stuff that was removed is no longer infecting her system. Looks like another great recovery is on the horizon! Hurry Back, Val! We miss you and love you!

Good to hear that Val's spirits are already up. Please tell her that Finn and Kari are thinking of her and that we say hello from South Carolina!

Thanks ya'll! I'm here but just to check in. I couldn't stand it any longer. I'm not really comfortable in my chair right now so I can't stay on. After my staples are removed on Wednesday, it should be much better. It still pinches a bit to get up and down but every day it gets just a little better. Wanted to thank everyone for the kind words and well wishes. I've really missed you! Can't wait until I'm back full time, though. I had a 1 1/2 pound fibroid removed. I can't believe it was that big! I wish I could look at a lot of pics but I've got to get back to the recliner. I've been living in it. Duke has stayed with me almost the whole time. Poor Doogie can't understand why he can't crawl up on my stomach. I'll be so glad when things are back to normal.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.
