    Looking up to older generation

I have to let you see this picture. It is a classic. Ricky at 18 months looking up to our friends' 13 year old Lab Mix.

Who says the younger generation doesn't appreciate us older folks.

MHMama that is precious, I would just love to give Ricky a hug, a small one.

I bet your friend's dog had just told Ricky "Watch this! They always give me treats when I look at them so adoringly!"

What an adorable picture. Thanks for sharing it. Every time I see Ricky, I too want to call him *little Ricky*, and then I wonder how you named him. Was it the *I Love Lucy Show*? They always referred to their son as *little Ricky*.

When my daughter bought a long haired chihuahua for her boyfriends parents she brought it home for me to see first. I had never seen one and I was smitten. I wanted one too but my husband said "no more dogs" (we had recently lost our 14 year old cockapoo mix). Anyway, I said if I got one I would call him Ricky after Ricky Ricardo. The next day when I went to work I made up a Nancy Needs A Chihuahua Petition. I got about 30 signatures, put it on the refrigerator at home. When my husband saw it at 9pm on a Friday night, he laughed, called our daughter and said can you get your mama one of those? The rest is history.
So I guess Ricky is named after big Ricky Ricardo and that is why the cat is Lucy.
