My trip to California and Mexico

My trip to California was FANTASTIC! As you know, I stayed with Sara and Don in Laguna Niguel, they spoiled me rotten - I could easily get used to it!

Well, I finally got to meet Edwina and Eddie, and what a welcome they gave me. Edwina came to say Hello when I arrived and shortly after, Eddie. They are as cute as I had imagined. The first night, Eddie came up in my bed, and also my last night!! I obviously didn't get a picture, but I have others.

Yes Eddie, I do want to cuddle.

Edwina was busy trying hats and accessories ....

This Scottish one in honor of Karen's visit.

And here she is in a beautiful outfit.

    more in next post ....

When Sara and I weren't busy floating around in the pool, we went on several trips around the area. We visited The Mission in San Juan Capistrano and saw the beautiful gardens.

And we went for walks up a steep hill with a wonderful view ...

    - that's where I found "my" House, just up the road from Sara's. LOL!

I went shopping and decided what interior I want ....

(lost that picture, but will put it in later)

When Don wasn't BBQing at home, we had dinner in good restaurants. San Clemente was a lovely little town with an excellent fishrestaurant, where we also saw surfers. (picture in BBQ tread))

While Karen, Debbie and Terry was there, we went for a delicious dinner in Dana Point Harbour and we got "kitty" bags with what was left, so we could feed the feral kitties there. They were too shy for pictures. I also got to meet the Harbour Patrol and had a chat about their work.

Before bedtime, we usually took a dip in the pool ...

    Ahh, that's life!

One day, we drove to San Diego Animal Wild Park, but on the way, we stopped to say Hello to Shirley's cousin ...

In the Animal Park, we saw lions ...

    ...a leopard

    and lots of other animals.

A few days before I left, Sara and I drove to Mexico, where her friends showed us around

We went for lunch in a typical restaurant, and then to a wine tasting ...

And was invited home to meet the whole family.

The day before I left, Vickie came to visit. She and Laurie came on the same train, but Laurie had to go on to San Diego. So Sara, Vickie and I went to dip our toes in the sea at Laguna beach ...

and took a little walk around the area.

That's all folks. Hope you enjoyed! I certainly did!

You go first with the lion cuddle, Barbara. If you survive, I'll think about going next.

Oh Randi, it's so wonderful to see your pictures and see what a wonderful time you had! I'm also so glad I was able to make it out there so I could finally meet you too!

What beautiful pictures!!!!! I ***love*** that house your chose for yourself! Wonder how many millions of dollars it is worth.

I can't believe you went to Mexico!! I've lived my ENTIRE life in California, and have not once crossed the Southern border. That is strange, because we do often drive up to Vancouver, Canada, which is 3 states away, but never to the border that is right below us. I would love to go there someday. What was Mexico like?

Looks you had a wonderful time!!! What great hosts Sara, Don, Edwina, and Eddie were!
