What's the one thing, you can't accept in a person....

.....No matter how nice they are? besides abuse/neglect to pets. I assume we all can't accept that, Right?

Those things that once you find out or see in a person, that after that you just can't look at them the same way again, no matter how good the rest of them is.

Example, we when out to dinner with another couple the other night and up in till then I really liked the girlfriend. Till, she did one of those things that I just can't get over.

People at another table had some children and one was crying about something. So this woman says to her, "Why don't you keep those things of yours locked up at home"

I can understand people not liking children and that the crying was getting on her nerves....but to say that, to the parents. Even if she had said something more like, "We are trying to enjoy our dinner here, maybe you could take him outside till he calms down" That I can deal will.............but to call them "things" and say they should be locked up!!!

I now can't look at this person the same way, no matter how nice I though she was before.

So is there anything like this for the rest of you, that you just can't over look and it effects your views on that person? Or am I just not normal and to much of a "B"?

My mom said on several different occasions with me in the roomand she knew I was, "I think she should just drop them off at a shelter while Lisa is at work, they are too much for her right now" about my aunt's cats who she loves only slightly less than her own children, who she would do anything for. (who are all staying at my grandma's house(she))
After this, I have honestly not ever been able to look at my own mother the same way again.

I guess that is the one thing you wouldn't like in me I don't hate children but they do get annoying

One thing I cannot stand in a person is dishonesty. I like people to be truthful.

That's not true. It not if someone likes children or not, it was her lack of respect and tact to those parents that I had the problem with.

Just as if we wouldn't want someone to tell us to lock our "THING" of a pet up, because they don't like them. The same should be true of people's children.

And BTW: I love children, but they do get annoying to me too and I do wish a lot of time, some parents would take a little bit more control of them when they are in public.

One thing I can't accept in a person is when they cheat on their husband/wife. All I can think is that person is so selfish and how does the spouse left behind feel? The marriage bond is so important, family is so important, and how can you break it for something so selfish?

I cannot tolerate racism or homophobia. Well, basically intolerance and ignorance of any kind.

People who feel it's necessary to talk down to other people to try to get their point across. Once they do that, they lose all my respect.

AMEN. I agree with all of you guys, but in particular, I do not appreciate it when parents set a horrible example for their children in public (especially through loudness, rudeness, cursing -loudly- in public, showing disrespect in general). I also have to agree with PJ's Mom. People who talk down their debate "opponent" obviously have little to no tactic and don't deserve access to healthy debates/forums.
