    Happy Birthday!!!! And, that doesn't surprise me at all that she didn't let on that it was her birthday. I hope it was wonderful, Mary, and, that you have the best year of your life and many more after this one. I am so glad that I got to meet you and at least part of your family in the "Sheraton" parking lot. I hope we can do it again soon, with fewer hitches. I think, even just from getting to meet you for a few moments, that you are a special person!

    I think it is a darned shame that people who live across the country have met Mary and she and I live 100 miles apart and have yet to meet!!!! I think we should be ashamed of ourselves, Mary. Vermontcat (Zoe) is coming to Greenville tomorrow. Are you up to another trip? Let me know if you are. They'll be here from around 10:30 to 1:30 at my house.

    I really don't think a birthday is a big deal to anyone--except to the one who is having it. I'm just grateful that I'm around for them these days. When I was a kid I didn't think I'd have more than 40 of them. Little did I know the best years of my life were AFTER 40 and getting better all the time.
