Some of you might remember when I had problems with my next door neighbor, Judy, a couple of years ago. I was feeding stray cats and she objected. At the time, she contacted the law and I ended up taking in the strays and building a cat enclosure.
Well, she's at it again.
I thought that when she got on medications, she would mellow some. Her son-in-law and daughter seemed to think so too.
Since February, I have been feeding 7 cats that were left behind when someone moved. They started out as new kittens. I have trapped and neutered all of them, but with 7 cats in the house and enclosure, I don't have room for more.
This morning I saw her adult daughter shooing the cats away from my tree. Seems one of the cats was chasing a squirrel. For the first ime in two years, Judy talked to me.
"How long are you going to keep feeding these cats? I'm tired of picking up dead animals and having them mess in my yard."
I'm actually getting close to touching these cats. I petted one of them this morning. But until they aren't afraid of people, they can't find homes.
The shelter I use is always full. Most are. I will contact any other shelters I can find, but I really don't know what else to do.
I coould really use some suggestions and maybe a prayer or two.
