    My New Pond

I have had ponds for several years now. They have been pre-formed plastic ones. But with our clay soil and the freezing and thawing in winter/spring, they keep breaking so when the lower one broke this year we decided to put a liner one in. By doing this I now have about double the area I had before. It is deeper too so I won't have to use a heater this winter to keep plants and fish alive through winter. Anyway here are some of the pics

This is before we added the mulch etc.

    Here it is with mulch

I noticed Jasmine and daddy in the very first pic and was going to comment on the help that you got. She is growing so fast, and I just know that you are loving having her near by as compared to all the way in Texas.

The ponds are beautiful and I have to admit, I like your backyard much better than your neighbors with that big pool taking up their whole backyard. Yours look so much more peaceful and relaxing.....and useful!

Your ponds are really lovely, Diana! Where did you get the floating balls? - those are really cool! (Our pond isn't quite that big, but I'd live a few of those to float in it) looks like a peaceful place to spend time.

Pat, my sister gave me the floating balls. I think she got them at the Anderson's in Toledo. I know I have seen them there before.

Maya and Inka's mom, I just have goldfish and shebunkins (spelling?) in the pond. Koi get too big and tear up plants trying to get to the roots. There are also 3 tadpoles in the lower pond and 2 in my othe pond. It's great fun watching them turn into frogs.

And Debbie, Christy and the baby and the 3 dogs are still with us. They have bought a house in Forest Park near Cincinnati but haven't got their furniture from Texas yet. Brian is working at the Army Recruiting Center in Hamilton and living in the house. He has a bed, a TV, a refrigerator, stove and lawn chairs for furniture - oh, and a new dining room table that they bought.

It has been great having the baby with us these 4 months (well 3 I guess since they went home to Texas for a month). She is such a beautiful little girl!!!!

Sorry, Cinder and Smoke (I don't think I have to worry about Bowser), no dog swimming in my pond! I think I will have some problems convincing Cincy though as she has "fallen" into my sister's pond at least 2 or 3 times. Taggert feel in mine once and Julia's once too - but I think his was an honest fall because he doesn't like swimming!

That is really pretty! I would love something like that in my yard.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.
