    Same dog, different name.

So I think Alexa and I have finally settled on a name, we are calling him Payson. His vet visit went very well today and he is doing well in the house. He's doing well on the potty training, and he seems more comfortable now. He's LOVES to take naps cuddled up next to you on the couch.

He's in the middle of a nice long stretch.

    I've been Defrosted!

Thanks for the great signature Kay!

In addition, Payson is doing GREAT as far as housebreaking goes; earlier this week he pottied in the house every single time I had my back turned and today not a single accident. Of course, he's not 100% potty trained but I can see quite a bit of improvement even after a week.

Crate training is still a bit of a struggle. He has a bit of seperation anxiety (which seems to be lessoning as he settles down and realizes no, we're not going to abandon him), and although he's by now perfectly fine being in the crate when one of us is in sight, freaks out when no one's around.

Payson is such a cute name. Matches his cute little face perfectly

Have you guys tried covering his crate with a light sheet and leaving a radio by it? Then he wouldn't really know if you guys were there or gone and he might be more at ease. I do that with my difficult-to-crate-train fosters and it seems to work really well.

I am so glad everything went well at the vet's. What a handsome boy Payson is. I am sure that he will be potty trained in no time.
