Well, 6 was a lonely number with Tex at the RB. So, despite my intentions not to adopt anytime soon, things worked out differently. Here is "Gus", a 4 month old male, that I have had since July 1st.
Gus has been introduced to the herd, and is now in the GP (general population). Last night was the second night in GP, and WOW was it a loud one! No fights, just tons of kittenly action. Apparently, Monte has met his match. He will NOT leave Gus alone, and they play non-stop. The only one not totally fine with Gus is Tenny. Tenny will walk, hiss and growl for ten feet in a row, and Gus isn't anywhere to be seen. Ten's feathers are ruffled, but, I have no doubt he will come around. He always has. Gus is still a bit skittish around me, but, I have petted him and held him without incident.
So, Gus may change his name, but, right now, it is Augusta! Welcome him to his forever home.
