betta colors

i was at a petstore the other day and saw a bright, and i mean BRIGHT orange male betta. i've never seen one this color and i thought it was so nice i almost brought it home.

have you ever seen an orange betta?

I have seen pictures of some on TFF, but it is considered a rarer color. So are pure greens and yellows.

I used to think that the cellophane coloured bettas or the ones with cellophane patches were diseased or sick. Even the coloured ones with grizzled cellophane (they look like and old golden rerievers muzzle) look diseased. Now I find out that some are bred to be those colors. Still looks like a sick fish to me.

no, I have never saw one until someone posted her julius, a really orangy betta!

sunkissed -- that's not really orange to me.. lol. a few of his freckles around its body's cool!
