    Westie Adventure... *10*

I had to work at my Dad's office today, so I was walking Gonzo to the park before I left... on the way home (of course this happens when I'm busy and LATE) a cute little Westie boy was trotting down the middle of the road! Luckily I had this huge long leash that I got with Di on Sunday, and I tied one end to his collar and he came home with us.

He was soooo cute, his name was Tuffy. Gonzo and him played and pulled me around on the walk back... he was shaved and looked well taken care of, except he had about 10 burrs on his face (I trimmed them out ) and he was really thirsty.. I was really happy that he was neutered, too. However, he was not house-trained! I walked in with him on-leash to get the phone and he immediately marked one of Gonzo's toys -.-.. I called the number on his tag, and only kids were home. SO I had to wait around for 1 hour for the 12 year-old girls to find my house, they lived on the other side of the neighborhood. So of course I got pics!! (Also, I DID lecture them on how to keep their dog safe and how to take care of him.. they had not realized he was gone, and I think he was missing for at least a few hours! I had to give them one of my leashes because they didn't even bring a leash poor Tuffy)

    trying to run away... again

*wut... pee? I didnt pee anywhere!!* ~_~

    doesn't this look like Murph?

    Gonzy harassing him to play...

What a lucky dog to have ended up in your home! Gonzo's toy is unfortunate, though. Glad the girls came to get their boy. I love happy endings!

Tuffy is adorable! I love the ones with him and Gonzo playing together. I'm glad you were able to find and watch him until his owners came to pick him up. Hopefully he won't get out again!

Good thing you saw him, alot of people would just leave him there. He does look well cared for, well, except for the fact they didn't miss him. So sweet, you looked after him. And GONZO got to have a new buddy for a while.

Tuffy looks so sweet! He is lucky that you brought him back! A car could've ended his life and the owners not even know! I'm glad also that he is neutered and well taken care of for the most part!

What a cutie!! He does remind me of Murph some too, I bet Murph gets mistaken for a Westie sometimes. His haircut is really cute! It's a good thing you were there and found him! As far as the peeing.. well he might be housetrained in HIS house, perhaps he just didn't consider your house to be his home so it was fair game . He and Gonzo look cute together. I don't know whether it's just the picture but Gonzo looks smaller than I always thought of him.

thanks for the comments, you guys!! I'm happy they finally came to get him too... I was thinking of keeping him for myself my Grandma reeeally wants to get a Westie! LOL.. my family is actually getting used to me bringing in lost dogs and running around trying to find their family. But it really does bother me that some people in my 'hood think just because it's the suburbs no cars will hit their wandering off-leash pups... its scary. Right when I saw Tuffy, a huge SUV drove right by him

yep... Gonzo is a little BC boy. He's a few inches shorter than Di's Seshy and quite a bit smaller than Miko. He's only about 18"-19" (I haven't measured him for a loong time) at the shoulder. That Westie had a big head, too ^_~

Julie, I know... I feel so bad for him! Whenever he meets dogs or they come over, he acts so starved for playing with them, even though he has a bunch of friends ... I think its time for a Gonzo brother or sister

What a cutie. And how lucky for him that you were able to get him and take him home. Watch out though, now that he knows where you live, he may "escape" again.
