    Thursday, June 16, 2005

    STUART — The reward for a missing bulldog grew to $10,000 on Thursday, a Martin County Sheriff Office spokeswoman said.

    Hoss, an English bulldog puppy, was stolen from his owner's truck at the post office.
    "We're concerned why hasn't anyone come forward," Sgt. Janell Atlas said. "This is thousands of dollars we're talking about it. We're afraid there is no dog to give back."

    Hoss, a 5-month-old bulldog, was stolen from his owner's pickup truck on Monday.

    The two thieves were described at six feet tall, thin black men with cornrows driving a red sports car, possibly a Camero or Trans Am, with temporary tags. Anyone with information should call the sheriff's office at (772) 220-7060.

    I hope the bulldog gets to go back home.
    His owner must really love him.
    I 'd go crazy if someone were to take Beenie..... but on the other hand... I would NEVER leave her alone in the back of a truck.

    They didn't say he was in the back of the truck, he was probably in the front seat, but with the windows down to get him some air, unlocking the door would quick. Poor puppy! I hope he's okay, and gets to come back home!

    From another article I read, it said that the dog was inside the car with the air conditioner going. There was a physical altercation with the dog's owner, and one of the thieves as well.
