Some good news for a change

We had a trip to the vet scheduled this afternoon for Butter to get his annual shots and for Dr. Robinson to check Honey's leg again. She is having a sporadic problem with severe limping and last night could not even stand up. That is not the reason I'm writing this though, and I will keep you up to date on Honey's problem on another thread, later when I know more.

I started 45 minutes before time to go to get Honey inside so she wouldn't run from me. I was successful with her. But then I discovered that Butter was gone! LOL!! That sneaky boy pushed the storm door open all by himself and went outside! Never could catch up with him before it was time to go, but of course he was waiting on the porch for me when I got home!

Anyway......I swear there is a point to this. I took Lilly with me for Honey's visit so she could be weighed and also so Honey wouldn't be so upset . Yes, they are spoiled. Honey weighed in at 68 pounds and Dr. Robinson said "No More"!!! Yippee!! I never thought I would hear those words. And Lilly, bless her heart, is down to a little under 85 pounds from a top weight of 97 in October. That's a success story! She is more energetic and feels and looks better than she ever has. Lilly has 4 pounds to go, but that seems easy now. We are over halfway there!!!

    YAY!!!!!

Good job on the weight loss success! I am so proud of both of the Golden girls. I hope there is nothing too seriously wrong with Honey's leg. Keep us updated!

I gotta run because Reece has a vet appointment in 20 min now.

All right! Hey if your dogs can lose weight maybe I do have a chance with the chunk (Smudge) who only weighs 49 pounds but that's to much for a dog his size especially one that does agility.

    Anyhoo congrats Logan

Wow, great you two Golden girls! I know how hard it is to keep those Golden beauties away from any food, so this is quite an achivement.
I hope her leg is okay though.

    Great news!

For me it's easier to watch my dogs weight than it is for me to watch mine! I need someone dishing out my portions and telling me ONLY CARROTS when I get the urge for a evening snack!

Lilly, that is a 12% weight loss. Pretty impressive! What a dog!

Now we need an update on the Honey Buns. Dear sweet girl, you are too young to be dealing with all aches and pains.
