    Beaglador???

Beaglador or houndrador??? When we got Jack they told us that he was a lab possibly beagle mix.

Can you see it? I really don't see the beagle, he may be part seal though, he sounds just like one. He has such a goofy bark and he looses his voice very quickly and sounds like an old dying animal, its pretty pathetic .
Here are some pictures of the goofball...

So what are your thoughts on his BEAGLE-ness?? And when are dogs usually full grown? Jack just turned 6 months old, my mom doesn't seem to think he will get any taller, he is only 40 lbs and 20 inches tall. I would love to hear your thoughts on the J dog!!

Well my cousin had a black labador. She/He looks exactly like her.

So maybe it's just black lab?

It depends on the dog how old they are when they reach their full size - some of the bigger breeds don't stop until they're 18 months or more old! I don;t really see beagle in him, and his tail has longer than beagle or Lab length fur on it - I think he's a Lab Mix pure and simple! Jack is Labradorable!

I'd say Beagle/Lab mix because you can really see lab but has like the tail of a beagle if you look at a beagle. Does that make sense?

I only see a quarter or so of Beagle. More likely, I think you have some sort of medium-sized Hound/Beagle/Lab mix. The ears definitely look Beagle to me. Plus, his head is quite fine and his muzzle more tapered than a pure lab, suggesting his "beagleness". However, he looks like he's going to get a lot bigger, and has quite a bit of filling out to do. I think he has another scenthound in him. Are coonhounds popular in your area? That could be a possibility.

Yes! He does look Foxhound/Lab. That would explain why he's so much larger than a Beagle. Plus, I have a feeling a Foxhound and Lab are easier to mate than a Beagle and Lab

Thank you! I definately think he has Foxhound in him, I was a little skeptical about the beagle since he is so young still and so much larger than a beagle, a foxhound would explain it!!!
Oh and what a great combo... He gets bored VERY easily and likes to eat absolutely everything!! Thanks for the help Giselle and others!

Jack is verrrry cute! I love his white patch! Actually, I see a lot of Beagle... it might just be me, though. In the last picture, his face looks EXACTLY like a Beagle mug ^_~ annd, my sister has BeaglexChi mix and she does not look like a Beagle, but she does have the nose and tracking instincts and she has that wierd howl

lol, the funny thing is that Jack has NO tracking instincts at all! He can't use that nose for anything! His face does look really beagle-ish but we were just thinking foxhound because of his size, I would think he would be smaller if he was a beagle mix...but who knows !

I see beagle face and ears and tail. I don't think he's too big to be a beagle as he has lab in him and neither parent would have been a quality example themselves. I think he's too small to be a foxhound though. The mating would not be any less common as a male dog doesn't know about the different in height when he finds a female in heat. Beagle/labs are quite common.
