Lately, I'm not so sure Riley is a dog! She likes to play the victim. Sometimes when I toss balls for her to catch she just lets them hit her like I'm throwing grenades at her face. It's not like I'm throwing them hard, I toss them to her from 6 feet away! What kind of dog (esp. retriever) lets this happen?? LOL

(Don't worry, she wasn't hurt at all, she pulls the same "victim" role at dogschool in front of her teacher. The girl just wants some sympathy! Haha)

I think she's selective as to what balls she wants to catch or not. Perhaps she doesn't like green tennis balls?

She loves to play fetch inside the house, any kind of ball will do. But sometimes if she doesn't want to fetch, she'll just sit there and let them hit her. This is the 3rd or 4th time she's done it.

Oh may. i laughed so hard at your story and pictures. because Kirby does the exact samething! but in his case its even worse yet... i toss popcorn at him for him to catch and all he does is close his eyes like an idiot and wait for it to hit him on the head or face...LOL or sometimes he ducks/doges it. and then gives me dirty look

Ok, I don't know why, but, she looks like the kid, Bobby, from "King of the Hill" in this picture. Again, not sure why, but, she totally looks like him to me. I seriously was almost in tears laughing at these pics, she's so cute!
