    We're HOME!!! (lots of pictures)

Well...its been a LOOONNNNGGGGG day!! We started at 9:00 a.m. and finished for the day at around 8:30 p.m. It was really hot...and of course going up and down stairs all day enabled us to eat WHATEVER we want for a few days.

I'm extreemly blessed by my family and friends (that includes my PT friends/family)!!! I can't even express my gratitude for all everyone did for me. I had SO MUCH stuff to move.

Here are a few pictures of the day...I'll post another thread when I have the place together.

I got the camera out after we'd started moving stuff from the truck into the new place. It was soooo cute...my brother was gone for a little bit and when my mom when to the truck, she found this at the bottom of my stairs:

My brother is a genius!! ha ha

I brought Micah over first. He is not a "port-o-prision" kind of guy...nor does he have an ounce of patience in his little body. He was thrilled to see his familiar cat tree:

Mom...what IS all this stuff?? Do you know where the cat food is??

I then went back to the old place to get Noah, Basie, Jonah and Phoebe...they stayed in the bathroom for a few hours until it was quiet and we went to dinner.

Surprisingly, Noah did the best out of the four...I was shocked!

Basie and Pee Pee stayed INSIDE the litterbox until I pulled them out...

Poor Jonah huddled in his carrier, knowing "the end was near". Poor guy!

After dinner, I went in and encouraged them to explore. Jonah seemed to realize all was going to be OK.

Poor Basie wasn't quite convinced and spent about an hour in the litterbox:

    More coming...

Micah is needing a lot of reassurance...

Before dinner, I redid the fish tank...

When I got home (yay! home!!), I needed a nice bubble bath...so I took one in my amazing Roman Tub!!!

And...the cats explored and enjoyed their new beds and catnip toys....and the new cat tree!

    More coming...

I broke out the special catnip toys I bought up in Northern California from a few months ago. That was a hit!!

OK...here are a few pictures of the place. These were taken before we went to dinner...so there's still a ton of boxes and stuff to put away. I'll post more pictures when I'm more settled.

Kitchen (with accent wall painted in Sonoma Sage)

Living room (other wall painted in Sonoma Sage)

Living room, other side of wall. This whole side is tempory...I have a computer desk coming this week...and will get an entertainment center eventually. Its a work in progress.

    More coming...

That's it for now. I'll post more when I'm settled.

    Hugs, Kelly and the furkids

P.S. The furballs are FINALLY settling down. They've each taken turns meowing sinse they got here at 3:00 p.m. I gave a few of them some Clomicalm to calm them down...poor things!

    Sonoma sage- cool

What a good idea to start with a housewarming catnip party- this will make the kits feel at home very quickly

Oh Kelly, your new place is a nice as can be!! I also love that color on the walls and it goes so well with your furniture. Oh the bathtub!! WOW!!

It looks like the kitties did really well through it all - but they are happy and secure so one moving day is not gonna bother them

I am happy for you!!!! (((((Kelly)))))

And I can hear the cats saying......."Well, as long as we have all this GREAT new stuff, I guess we can call it home."

When I moved from Magdeburg last year, it was taking too long to carry all the boxes down 4 stories of stairs so my (now ex) and I let the boxes with clothes and stuff just slide down it took no time!

the kittys all look tuckered out hope they enjoyed their kitty naps congrats on the move!!

Kelly your new place is GORGEOUS! It looks like the babies settled in pretty quickly. It usually takes days for them to settle down and they look pretty relaxed already. That's great!
I have that same computer desk that you ordered. You will love it. It's big enough to hold everything but yet not to bulky.

That tub is to die for!!!

Congratulations on your wonderful new place and can't wait for more pictures!

Kelly, the new place is just great! I'm sure you'll have it looking spiffy with all your special little touches in no time.
