Pepper is lost, I need help!

Pepper, my families hedgehog, somehow got loose two days ago! He is outside and I have looked everywhere for him! I don't know what to do! I've been crying a lot too! Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can do? We ahve taken out Sammy (my families dog) and she knows the command,"Find the hedgehog, find Pepper!" because Pepper is and escape artist. We have his food and water in a little kennel with his bedding in it, and I can't find him!!! Any suggestions??

Pepper has now visited us last night! He always puts in one piece of food and a bunch of hay in his water, I do not know why, but, that is what his water had in it! The food was all gone too! I'm going to try to get my grandpa to let me use his small live trap to capture Pepper! I don't know if he will enter into a new surrounding like that though! Now what should I do?

Thank you for the advice, and caring for Pepper!

atleast ya know he's still around and alive.

i would set the trap just in case. and keep a VERY watchfull eye on that cage incase he shows up again.

Well, I haven't gotten ahold of my grandpa, but I think he visited again last night, he made the waterdish like he usually does, but didn't eat anything. I think that he is gone, but I won't give up until I find him. Dead or alive...
Thank you everyone for the support!

I read once that Hedghogs love the meaty dog food and they have a very good sence of smell. I'm sure if you bait a live trap with this your'll get him back or stay up all night watching the food bowl and once he comes along to feed grab him.

Thank you for the suggestion Tescos! Thank you everyone else for supporting me too! I found some droppings left behind from him, after a thunder storm I know that he is okay though! I hope that I can catch that stinker soon! (I'm still working on getting that live trap )

I went out to check again tonight, but no sign of Pepper...The nights are getting so cold, and I'm really scared that he will get sick, or freeze to death. I don't know what to do. I think that I will look in my neighbors rhubarb bush tomorrow and pray to God that I find him soon. I'm even shivering from the weather, and I live way up Nort' where it gets below -20 degrees Farenhiet...That is bad...
