Last call for Ron and Raven...*PLEASE READ*

I've had signs up at the vet for months. I've been on a waiting list for the no kill shelter for months. Ron and Raven must go. If someone does not take them by Wednesday, I am taking them to the pound which is a kill shelter. If you do not know what I'm talking about, here's an old thread...

    http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthre...+ron+and+raven

You all know how much that I love them and how much I've tried. Not only is Jaden still sick, since I've had the baby, I've became allergic to them. Something in my body changed and I have to load up on Benadryl every night before I lay down with them. Please help me, this is my last effort.

Have you listed them on http://Petfinder.com? Is there a Pet Talk person who could foster them until they can find a forever home? As a person who deals with allergies on a daily basis, I feel very bad for you, and know this is a gut-wrenching decision for you.

You'll be in my prayers, I'm on the wrong side of the country (not to mention my own massive cat allergies) to help, but I hope a solution can be found.

I also wish that I could help, but I too am in New England and nowhere near to you. Please find a shelter or foster home for those babies so that nothing happens to them.

tonya, I didn't read the old and its whole thread but I see it has been too long and I still wouldn't take them to kill shelter. can you maybe call those shelters near you (I'm SURE one of them is NO-kill). I understand you don't want to rehome them but it's better than taking them to killers please do it for me...

since I don't really live far away from you, I'd be glad to drop them off for you...

Oh Tonya I'm so sorry it has come to this. I sure wish I could help you, but I'm much to far away. I hope you can find Ron and Raven wonder homes ASAP so they don't have to go to the shelter... Best of luck to you!

    Tonya,
I wish there was some way I could help, but my life is too crazy right now to be able to do anything.

Is there ANY WAY a rescue organization can foster them for you? I apologize in advance if I missed that in the other thread, I'm on heavy pain meds and my mind wanders for me to be able to read a lot.

Lots of hugs and prayers that a solution is found.

    Take care,
    Kelly

Tonya, I went back and re-read the old thread. What about the porch or other outdoor structure idea? At least until you can find someone to take them. What about the friend of your husband's at work, the one that was going to help with the temporary foster? Your brother? Their baby is older now....just throwing out ideas. What about Kohala?

That is a good idea. You can build an outdoor enclosure for them until you can find a hoe if you don't have another place for them like a garge or something. Anything like that would be better them dropping them at a kill shelter. Then in the meantime you can find them a home.

Thank you. I made my rounds with all of those shelters back in October. (Except the one in Livermore, I'll call them too.) I'm on a waiting list just for a foster home at Pets and Pals. This week, I'm going to recontact all of the no kill shelters and all of the rescues that I'd corresponded with before.

It's sad because there is such an overpopulation of cats. They all basically told me before that they are over their heads with cats. I was told that owner relinquished cats is low on the priority list. They all have tons of abandoned cats to deal with.

I was not very persistant though because I felt so guilty at the time. I'm going to be more persistant on getting my point across that the cats must go this time.

    Thank you Wolfie!

Is there a petsmart near where you live? I found my kitten by an ad placed up on the petsmart bulletin board. Petco has the same thing. I believe it is free too. I would put up signs explaining your situation. Maybe put an ad in the Sunday paper. Or like others have said, Petfinder.com

    Best of Luck
