    Look what I found!!

Walking in our garden, I heard the noise coming from the fence. I grabbed my camera and went to have a look.
    Look what I found:

Closer views, after I made sure that the mommy-bird was nowhere around

I have NO idea how many birds there are, but it sure is crowded in there ! These are blackbirds
Oh my, I hope that Maya won't find this nest, as it is only 1,5m high on the fence, and Maya is a good climber....
Any ideas about what I could do to prevent a masacre??

theres not really anything you could do without disturbing their lives and possibly scaring mommy/daddy bird away their so cute! feathers already!

They might start flying soon So don't worry, just keep Maya well fed until the babies fly the coop

Maybe after their gone you could try putting the nest on the other side of the fence?

Awww, how wonderful! I have no idea what you can do to keep them safe, except keeping an eye on Maya and Inka at all times when they're out. You may even have to keep them inside.

Hope the birds will be safe and ready to fly soon!

That will be so hard... ! Today, I tried to keep Maya indoors as much as possible. Maya was begging and turning around my legs ALL the time. She also wants to go outside to "go potty"...! Normally she always uses her litterbox, but when it is getting warmer, she prefers "fresh soil" ! Right now she is looking , no STARING, at me with those big eyes :"Please meowmie, let me out, PLEASE !!
    This won't be easy...

Has Maya discovered the nest yet, or only you? Those chickies look ready to fly, theyve already got their feathers, youd be surprised how fast they grow up

As long as your keeping an eye on your kitty it shouldnt be a problem

There is a dove nest on top of "beam-lamp" ; that is just under the roof. I feel so sorry for the little bidies, as the mama dove did this already 3 times, and everytime the birdies fall out when they get bigger . We cannot reach that nest though...

As for the other nest, I don't know if Maya has discovered it yet. It is on left edge of the garden, and we cannot see it from the living room .So it is impossible to keep an eye on her, as she spends sometimes more than 2 hours in the garden! Guess I will have to ignore her begging and keep her inside tomorrow.... . I hope that the young ones learn how to fly real soon!
