    My new kayak!

I'm so excited! I've been renting kayaks for the last two summers trying to find the perfect boat that wasn't a completely nutty price. I spent tonight at the local pool trying out more boats--Thanks Kellin, one of the local dealers for bringing me boats. I have at long last found my kayak. Monday afternoon I will be picking up my smoke blue Perception Carolina 14.5! You can see what it looks like here:

Two more weeks and all the small lakes around me should be thawed! June 9 I am taking a self-rescue course. I kayak alone almost all the time so I thought it might be a good idea to learn how to save myself!

I can't wait!! I'll post pics when I get my boat home.

Looks like a lot of fun. The class should definitely help you out in an emergency. Post more pics when you get it home.

The key word is Snow! They aren't water dogs! I will have to paddle it myself to make it go!

Gee whiz Glacier, you are a woman on the go!! There is never anything stopping you is there? You are amazing. I used to love kayaking as a younger person but I haven't done it lately. That is so cool and I hope you enjoy it as much as you enjoy everything else. HAVE FUN!!!!!!!

Hmmm, I wonder how Daisy would feel about that! She does love to swim!
